In een stad als Brussel, waar de straten soms meer op jachtgebied lijken, wordt een zwarte queer vrouw geconfronteerd met constante straatintimidatie: ongewenste opmerkingen, blikken en dagelijkse vormen van lastigvallen die haar reduceren tot prooi.
Wat gebeurt er wanneer zij besluit niet weg te lopen en zichzelf niet kleiner te maken, maar haar afro juist nog groter draagt? Wat gebeurt er wanneer ze ontdekt dat juist de vrouwelijkheid die men probeert te exploiteren ook een krachtig wapen kan zijn?
Via spoken word en paaldans vertelt ze haar verhaal: jullie kwamen misschien voor mij, maar nu kom ik voor jullie. Met mijn pussy. Onbeschaamd, ongetemd en onstuitbaar.
Een zwarte vrouw in de stad, bijna verslonden door mannelijke macht, eist haar pussy power terug. Deze multidisciplinaire storytelling performance combineert spoken word en paaldans en is gemaakt voor alle girls, gays en theys die men probeert te controleren, maar die weigeren zichzelf kleiner te maken.
Winnaar van de Fringe at Best Award 2025.
Rachel won met deze voostelling de Fringe at Best Award in 2025.
Juryreactie: 'Hansoul transformeert kwetsbaarheid in kracht en verschuift het narratief rond vrouwelijke seksualiteit van plicht naar bevrijding.'
Op vrijdag 22 en zaterdag 23 mei 2026 is deze voorstelling als double bill te zien met Monolith 2: The White Piece van Sofie Kramer. De kaartverkoop volgt binnenkort.

Rachel Hansoul
Rachel Hansoul (1994) is een multidisciplinaire maker, performer en grafisch ontwerper uit Brussel. In haar werk combineert ze tekst, beeld en beweging om complexe en emotionele realiteiten te verbeelden. Als zwarte queer vrouw vertrekt Rachel vanuit een persoonlijke positie terwijl ze grotere maatschappelijke structuren onderzoekt. Thema’s als racisme, (de)kolonisatie, identiteit en queerness zijn in haar werk geen abstracte theorie maar dagelijkse realiteit.
Als intersectioneel feminist werkt ze aan een wereld waarin iedereen bestaansrecht heeft. Ze geeft stem aan wat vaak onuitgesproken blijft en claimt ruimte voor verhalen die vervormd, geseksualiseerd of uitgewist zijn. Haar praktijk beweegt tussen podium, design en activisme en zoekt plekken waar zachtheid en woede naast elkaar kunnen bestaan. Voor haar is het podium een politieke ruimte waar mensen die vaak worden stilgemaakt luid en onbeschaamd zichtbaar kunnen zijn!

Rachel Hansoul
Rachel Hansoul (1994) is a multidisciplinary maker, performer and graphic designer located in Brussels, Belgium. Her work blends text, image and movement to express complex and emotional realities. As a black queer woman, Rachel speaks from a personal place while addressing larger systems. She explores themes such as racism, (de)colonisation, identity and queerness — not as theory, but as daily realities. As an intersectional feminist, she works toward a world full of colour, where everyone is allowed to exist. She gives voice to the unspoken, and claims space for stories that have been distorted, sexualised or erased. Her artistic practice moves between stage, design and activism, and seeks out places where softness and rage can coexist. She believes in the stage as a political space, a place where those who are usually silenced can show up, loudly and unapologetically.
Rachel won the Fringe at Best Award in 2025 with this performance.

What happens when she decides not to f lee, not to shrink and fluff her afro even bigger than before? What happens when she discovers that the very femininity they try to exploit is the weapon women wield?
